Man struck by train in Norman dies

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Norman police say a man has died after he was struck by a train.

Police say the man was on foot when he was hit by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe train Monday night. Authorities say the train was carrying cargo and traveling south when it struck the man.

Police have not released the man's name but say he appears to be in his 30s.

The death is being investigating by Norman police and special agents with the railroad.
