LAWTON, Okla_Some Lawton students and
teachers are headed to camp but this camp picked them. It's "space
camp" and very few are chosen, 3 teachers and 4 Eisenhower Middle School
students.
The students
and teachers are getting to go to camp in Huntsville,
Alabama, thanks to a grant from Northrop
Grumman.
Student Michael
Conner said it's an honor to have been chosen.
"I'm
mostly fascinated with the electronic and mechanical work with it. That's
mostly what I'd like to learn first."
The camp was founded in 1982 and provides authentic and entertaining
experiences in space and aviation to both youngsters and adults.
