Jimenez Custom Harvesting fined for labor violations

Posted: Updated:

Clovis, NM - Jimenez Custom Harvesting has been fined more than 100,000 dollars after being cited for labor violations.

The Clovis based company will pay back wages and penalties.

The Department of Labor found they failed to compensate workers for time spent traveling, as well as failing to pay the required hourly rate and making illegal wage deductions.

Spokeswoman Vivian Jimenez said the company was going by program rules set in 2008 and was not aware of new rules made in 2010.
