Update: Noah Markey gets a kidney

Posted: Updated:

LAWTON, Okla_Eight year old Noah Markey of Lawton had surgery Thursday at OU Children's Medical Center receiving the kidney that doctors believe will save his life.

If you saw Scott Miller's story Tuesday night, you saw that young Noah has polycystic kidney disease. It's the same disease that claimed the life of his 15 month old sister 3 years ago.

The family heard the good news Wednesday night that a possible donor for Noah had been found. Then early Thursday morning, they were told that Noah was a match and the transplant was a "go."

We will keep you updated on Noah's story.
