OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board postponed a special board meeting Tuesday over concerns it could violate the state's Open Meeting Act.
The board is already under criminal investigation for possible violations of the law. The Oklahoman reports (http://is.gd/0mXddN ) that Tuesday's special meeting was canceled over concerns that vaguely worded agenda items could violate the law.
The agenda item simply listed ``Discussion and Subsequent Vote'' without detailing what would be discussed or voted upon.
Board Director Terry Jenks says the board decided to reschedule its meeting out of an abundance of caution. He says the board will issue a new agenda to avoid any confusion.
Jenks says the special meeting likely will be rescheduled for Friday.
