OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Three
American Red Cross volunteers in Oklahoma will be heading to Alabama to
assist in the expected aftermath of what is currently Tropical Storm
Isaac.
Spokesman Ken Garcia with
the Red Cross' Central and Western Oklahoma Region said the volunteers
from Woodward, Shawnee and Oklahoma City would begin leaving Monday
afternoon for Montgomery, Ala. Garcia said two volunteers are already in
Florida in preparation for the storm.
Isaac was moving
northwestward over the Gulf of Mexico on Monday and is expected to by
the National Hurricane Center to become a Category 1 hurricane.
Isaac is expected to make landfall sometime Tuesday along the Gulf Coast.
