OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A teenager convicted in his friend's death during a botched robbery of an Oklahoma City pharmacy has been released from custody.
Jevontai Ingram was 14 at the time of the May 19, 2009, stickup at the pharmacy where Jerome Ersland worked. Ersland opened fire when the two masked teens entered the pharmacy.
Ersland was eventually convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison for the shooting death of 16-year-old Antwun ``Speedy'' Parker. Ersland maintains he was acting in self-defense.
Ingram pleaded guilty to first-degree murder for his friend's death and was sentenced as a youthful offender. The 18-year-old tells The Oklahoman (http://is.gd/GClpFu ) that he wants to finish high school, go to college and eventually become a probation officer.
