PAYNE COUNTY, Okla_The Oklahoma
State Bureau of Investigations is investigating a possible suicide of a Cushing
man who was involved in a car chase in Payne County.
A deputy attempted to stop a truck driven by 27-year-old Clinton Blakely on Tuesday
night east of Perkins.
Blakely refused
to stop and was chased by police who then set up a roadblock to stop him.
He then began
to drive towards an officer who fired several shots at the truck's tires
bringing it to a stop. When police approached they found him with a gunshot
wound to the head and a gun in the cab. The State Medical Examiner will
determine the official cause of death.
