UPDATE: Bus crashes into motorcycle, sending 1 to the hospital

LAWTON, Okla_ UPDATE: Family members have identified the injured motorcyclist as 24-year-old Ryan Nix. They say he underwent surgery early Thursday morning and is now in the intensive care unit.
Original Story: An accident near the intersection of 19th Street and N.H. Jones sent one man to the hospital in critical condition. The accident happened around 3:45 Wednesday afternoon.
Police say the motorcycle was traveling east on N.H. Jones when it appears a school bus failed to yield at the intersection and did not see the motorcyclist. The bus hit the bike, badly bending the motorcycle.
The rider was taken to Comanche County Memorial Hospital where he was flown to OU Medical in Oklahoma City in critical condition.
It is not clear if there were any students on the bus at the time of the accident, but no one other than the motorcycle rider was transported to the hospital. We have attempted to contact Lawton Public Schools to get a comment from them on the incident but have not yet heard back from them.
