Friona man pleads not guilty in robbery

Amarillo, TX - A man accused of robbing a Friona credit union entered a plea of not guilty in federal court Thursday.

Court records show John Michael Garibay pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated robbery and using a firearm during a crime of violence.

Officials say Garibay robbed the Friona Federal Credit Union in August, taking around eight thousand dollars.

Garibay is ordered to remain in federal custody until pretrial motions which are scheduled for October 5th.
