LAWTON, Okla_In Lawton iPhone fanatics stayed
up all night to be the first to buy the new iPhone 5.
One guy got in
line Thursday afternoon, even though there was no line.
"I told
everyone I saw that I was coming to camp out for this iPhone 5. I don't think I
had not one person tell me I wasn't crazy."
Crazy or not he
wasn't alone, about 1:30 a.m. five guys and one woman were waiting, the guys in
chairs, a woman, we'll call her "mom" to protect her identity, in her car and
they know it is crazy.
"I can't
explain it, it's just something we do every year."
In the wee
hours, a handful of people were in front of the store about 30 minutes before
the doors opened for business the line had grown. Some of these people must be
playing hooky and don't want to be seen on television by their employer. "Mom" said
she could not be captured on video. She brought snacks for her son, she would
have stood in line for him if he wanted to go home to go to sleep. She's like
the mom of the year. In her mid 50's, she stayed up all night, to get a phone.
Give me one
good reason why you would do that?
"It's an
iPhone, I've been waiting on it that's why I'm getting it."
