OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Broken
Arrow emerged from a tight, three-way race to claim the No. 1 spot atop
Class 6A in The Associated Press' Oklahoma high-school football
rankings.
Undefeated Lawton (4-0) and
Jenks (2-2) each received four first-place votes, but Broken Arrow
(2-2) came out ahead as the only team that wasn't placed lower than
fourth on any ballot. The three teams were separated by three points.
4-time defending state
champion Union fell from No. 1 to No. 6 after losing to Owasso, which is
now No. 5. Edmond North is No. 4.
The other top-ranked teams
in the state remain the same: Guthrie in Class 5A, Cascia Hall in 4A,
Tuttle in 3A, Millwood in 2A, Wayne in Class A, Laverne in Class B and
Tipton in Class C.
