Amarillo, TX - An Amarillo man is awaiting charges following a weekend hit and run that left two teenagers dead.

The Amarillo Police Department responded to the intersection of Mirror and Wichita around 8:00 Sunday evening.

They say two girls in their early teens were struck by a Dodge pickup and died at the scene as a result of injuries received in the crash.

The driver, 19 year old Gillermo Flores, reportedly turned himself in to police shortly after the incident.

He has been booked into the Potter County Sheriff's Office jail on two counts of accident causing injury or death.

Autopsies have been ordered.
