Woman injured after being hit by car

Lawton- Police say a woman has been treated and released from the hospital after she was hit by a car.

It happened around 9:30 Wednesday night at 27th and SW Cornell. That's just south of Gore Boulevard. Officers are still investigating exactly what happened, but they confirm a woman in a motorized scooter or wheelchair was hit by a car.

We're told she suffered a head injury and was taken to a hospital. Thursday morning police said she has since been treated and released.
