Convicted robber sentenced

Lawton_ Larry Russell, a Lawton man who was caught by his own robbery victim, has been sentenced to seven years in prison.

Prosecutors say that back in March, he and his girlfriend broke into an apartment in southwest Lawton. Once inside, they demanded money from the victim at gunpoint.

Two weeks later, the victim saw the pair shopping at Wal-mart on Sheridan Road. The victim called the police, who then arrested the couple.

A judge convicted Russell on second-degree robbery charges.
