Lawton woman pleads guilty in child endangerment case

Lawton, Okla._A Lawton woman accused of leaving the scene of an accident and dumping her grand kids on the roadside pleaded guilty this week. The accident happened in may of last year.

Vera Hickman was seen swerving on Fort Sill boulevard. She then turned into oncoming traffic and collided with another car. Hickman left her two grandchildren, ages 11 and 1, at the scene. Shortly after, she walked back and was arrested by police.

Hickman pleaded guilty to four charges, including child endangerment and driving under the influence.
