Lawton, Okla._ The sights, smells and sounds of Germany will be in Lawton this weekend for the 39th Annual Oktoberfest.

It kicked off Friday at the Comanche County Fairgrounds and will continue on Saturday. Organizers say there is lots to see and do at this event that the whole family can enjoy.

"It's a family friendly event. There's something for everybody from great food to entertainment and drinks," Comanche County Fairground Executive Assistant, Brandy Black, said.

The food is all homemade and this year they do have take out. They also have a kid's zone area for youngsters and that area is free for kids.

The Oktoberfest will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Fair grounds.
