Posted: Updated:

Tucumcari, NM - New Mexico State Police are awaiting identification results of human remains found in Quay County.

The investigation is being linked to a missing woman.

New Mexico State Police searched this area Friday near the intersection of US-54 and Quay County Road AC.

During their investigation, the Criminal Investigations Bureau discovered human remains.

State police believe the remains are those of 53 year old Kimberly Draman who was last seen in the Tucumcari area on September 13, 2012.

Since then, authorities have been searching for Draman and listed her as a missing person on the New Mexico Department of Public Safety Website.

The evidence has been sent to the office of medical investigators for a positive identification and cause of death determination.

The Criminal Investigations Bureau says they are treating the case as a homicide.

If you have any information about what may have led to Draman's death, you are urged to contact New Mexico State Police in Tucumcari at 575-461-3300.
