OKC middle school student arrested after stabbing

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma City police and school officials say an 8th-grader has been stabbed in the lip by another student at a middle school

Police say a 14-year-old boy was stabbed by a 13-year-old boy at Roosevelt Middle School in southwest Oklahoma City about 1:10 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say a school resource officer witnessed the attack and immediately intervened.

Police say the injured student was released to his parents and that the 13-year-old was arrested on counts of assault and battery with a deadly weapon and carrying a weapon onto school grounds. Police say the boy is being held in a juvenile detention facility.
