Ardmore man, 20, arrested in stabbing death

Posted: Updated:

ARDMORE, Okla. (AP) - Authorities have arrested a 20-year-old Ardmore man in connection with a stabbing death at a trailer park on Monday.

District Attorney Craig Ladd says Thomas Houser is being held on $1.5 million bond in connection with the death of 50-year-old Spencer Hales Jr.

Ardmore Police Chief Keith Mann says Hales' body was found Monday morning at his home on Lake Murray Drive. Mann said that Hales' body was discovered in the front yard, but authorities believe he was killed inside the home.

Houser was arrested Monday night and is being held at the Carter County jail. Authorities did not know if he had an attorney.

Police have not yet released a possible motive for the stabbing.
