Lawton- You can expect to see more than 1,000 motorcycles on Lawton streets over the next few days.
The Oklahoma State Harley Owners Group, or HOGfor short, is hosting its annual rally in southwest Oklahoma. Bikers from across the state will begin to arrive in Lawton Wednesday.
Events, including motorcycle stunt performances will be happening at the Great Plains Coliseum from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Headlining the weekend's entertainment is the Bubba Blackwell Stunt Show on Friday and Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Bubba Blackwell is a stunt performer and motorcycle-jumping world record holder. Bubba Blackwell began his career is 1998 when he jumped 20 cars breaking the record held by Evel Knievel.
Community members are also encouraged to line the streets for a motorcycle parade through Lawton on Saturday at 4 p.m. According to the Lawton-Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce, The parade route is set as follows: From the Great Plains Coliseum, north on Sheridan Road, west on Gore Boulevard to 38th Street, north on 38th Street to Cache Road, east on Cache Road to Fort Sill Boulevard, south on Fort Sill Boulevard to Lee Boulevard and then west on Lee to Sheridan Road and the Great Plains Coliseum. Motorcycles will be decked in red, white and blue to honor our troops.
