Police warn man is posing as Clovis police officer

Posted: Updated:

The Curry County Sheriff's Office is investigating a man who they believe is impersonating a police officer in the Clovis area.

He is described as a white male with a short haircut, clean shaven, in his 20's or 30's.

He was seen wearing a dark colored shirt, khaki utility type pants with a holstered firearm and handcuffs on his belt, possibly driving a black Dodge Charger.

If you are stopped by something other than a fully marked emergency vehicle.

You are encouraged to call 9-1-1 to verify if it is a law enforcement officer.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Curry County Sheriff's Office at 575-769-2335.
