Truck catches fire after hitting gas line

LAWTON, Okla_A charred shell is what's left of a pickup Friday afternoon after firefighters say the driver of the truck hit a gas line.

It happened just after 1 in an alley near 21st and Southwest McKinley.

Police say the male driver was driving through the alley when he accidentally drove over the meter causing something under his hood to ignite.

Fire officials say no one was injured. Crews are working to repair the gas line that is temporarily shut off.
