Man arrested in east Amarillo church burglary

Amarillo, Texas - An arrest is made in an early morning burglary of an east Amarillo church.

Police tell us they arrested 25 year old Neggye Sabit Omer outside of the Eastridge Baptist Church located in the 1300 block of Evergreen around 4:00 Monday morning.
  
They say he and another man took items from inside the church, but dropped them once police arrived at the scene. He is charged with Burglary of a Building and for Evading Arrest.
