Lawsuit involving Lovelace Health Plan

Posted: Updated:

Albuquerque, NM - Lovelace is currently embroiled in the middle of a lawsuit over an alleged smear campaign in Albuquerque.

The Albuquerque Journal reports Lovelace Health Plan, which is part of the Lovelace Health System, has filed a lawsuit against ABQ Health Partners.

Lovelace accuses their competitors of soliciting its customers to change insurers, interfering with business relationships and violating regulations governing marketing to customers.

The suit claims the ABQ health partners engaged in a smear campaign aimed at misleading Lovelace's customers into changing their health care provider.

However, ABQ Health Partners allege Lovelace has provided what they call "misinformation to our patients in what we think is an attempt to confuse or frighten them into switching doctors."
