Officer charged in tasing of child

Tularosa, NM - The New Mexico Department of Public Safety and one its officers are being sued over an incident involving a taser and a 10-year-old.

According to the lawsuit, Officer Chris Webb came to the Tularosa Intermediate School for Career Day and asked several boys if they would like to clean his patrol unit.

When one refused, Webb allegedly shot the boy with a taser.

The attorney representing the child involved says he "has woken up in the middle of the night holding his chest, afraid he is never going to wake up again."
