Body of missing Pocola woman is found

Posted: Updated:

POCOLA, Okla. (AP) - Police in Pocola say the body of a 74-year-old woman missing since Oct. 17 has been found in a dried creek bed in the eastern Oklahoma town.

Cpl. Barry Riggs says the body of Ruby Poole was found Saturday and that there are no signs of foul play. Riggs says the body will be sent to the state medical examiner to determine the cause of death because her death was unattended.

Police say Poole suffered dementia and is believed to have wandered away from her home - which is four to five miles from where her body was found.
