AMBUCS holds annual Pancake Day

Posted: Updated:

LAWTON, Okla_Lawton AMBUCS members have been flipping flapjacks all day. It's their 57th Annual National Pancake Day fundraiser. The national AMBUCS is a non-profit association dedicated to creating mobility and independence for people with disabilities and Pancake Day helps them do that.

"It allows them to go out and buy all these Amtrykes for kids and for vets and put money back into the community. Not only are you giving a child or an adult the ability to get on a bike and get mobile, as soon as you get them on it, their faces light up. It makes me want to go out and raise more money so I can get more bikes for kids," AMBUCS President Kent Clingenpeel said.

This year's event is the 57th annual fundraiser. So if you'd like some great pancakes and help a great cause, head out to the Great Plains Coliseum in Lawton until 8 p.m.
