Veterans Day ceremonies begin Friday in SW Oklahoma

Lawton- The first of several ceremonies to honor America's military veterans will take place Friday morning.

At 10 a.m. Friday, Fort Sill commander Major General Mark McDonald and State Senator Don Barrington will join others to honor heroes at the Lawton-Fort Sill Veterans Center.

The City of Duncan will honor vets Saturday with a parade down Main Street at 10 a.m.

On Sunday, a Veterans Day ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. in Veterans Square next to the public library in Lawton. Another ceremony Sunday will get underway at two in the afternoon at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Fort Sill's ceremony is set for Monday at 9 a.m. in front of McNair Hall.
