Former football players speak to kids about making good choices

Posted: Updated:

Ft. Sill, Okla._Some former standout football players came to Fort Sill Friday night to speak to kids about making good life choices. Averell Spicer had a solid college career at USC as a defensive lineman. He told the kids tonight that his college experience was one of the toughest of his life.

"So as you can imagine, it was hard, it was stressful. You know, I could've quit. I could've gave up, but I said no. I'm going to do this I'm dedicated," Spicer said.

Spicer told the kids he knew at the age of 7 he wanted to go to college, and play football, and encouraged them to work hard to reach their goals, no matter how old they are.
