JACKSON COUNTY, Okla_Two people were
badly injured in a one-car accident one mile south of Altus. It happened in the southbound lane of Highway
283 at around 12:45 Wednesday afternoon.
Witnesses say
the driver lost control, veered across the right lane and landed in a ditch.
When emergency
responders arrived, one of the men was out of the vehicle but the other was
trapped. They had to cut the entire top of the car off to get to him.
Both men were
taken to Jackson County Memorial
Hospital.
