Texas bath salt hospitalizations increase

Amarillo, Texas - One of the major synthetic drugs causing issues in Texas continues to be bath salts.   

According to the Texas Panhandle Poison Centers, there have been over  500 hospitalizations of people using bath salts in Texas since January of 2010.

Eight of those have occurred in our area. One in Hutchinson county, 5 in Potter, and 2 in Randall county.

Harris county, which includes Houston, is at the top of the list with nearly 120 hospitalizations.
