CGI donates thousands of cans to Lawton Food Bank

Posted: Updated:

Lawton_The Lawton Food Bank has some full shelves, thanks to Lawton's CGI company. This was no corporate mandate. The employees held a food drive on their own.

Angela Schonkvisky said last year was the first year, but it was a smaller effort with just her work group.

"This year, I decided to up the challenge a little bit and I put a challenge out to the rest of the company, with the winner getting a free ice cream party. It went way beyond," Schonkvisky said.

They brought in a total of 3,025 cans, with 1,090 of those coming from the company's radar group, which won the contest.

Angela says their next project is to do something for the homeless for Christmas.
