Cop clips woman

Lawton, Okla._Traffic was blocked for a couple of hours Friday evening on Cache Road after a woman was clipped by a Lawton Police Car as she tried to cross the street.

The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. near Northwest 14th Street.

Authorities say the officer was making a slow u-turn at the intersection of Cache and 14th when his car bumped a woman who was in the road.

The woman was sent to the hospital with minor injuries to her left leg.

Police shut down the road as they reconstructed and investigated the accident. There is no traffic signal where the woman was crossing the street.
