TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Officials say that next week's
arraignment for two men charged in a Tulsa shooting spree that left three
people dead and two wounded will likely be postponed.
Jacob England and Alvin Watts are scheduled to be
arraigned Monday on charges of first-degree murder and shooting with intent to
kill in the April 6 shootings.
Tulsa County prosecutors have asked a judge to
postpone the arraignment to give them more time to decide whether to seek the
death penalty. A spokeswoman for the District Attorney's Office, Susan Witt,
said Friday that the arraignment will likely be postponed because defense
attorneys say they do not object.
A judge has not yet ruled on the request for the
postponement.
