LAWTON, Okla._

A driver critically injured Saturday in a motorcycle collision died Sunday in an Oklahoma City hospital.

The victim was identified as 16-year-old Matthew Martine.

Police said Martine suffered massive head trauma after he was rear ended while driving his motorcycle Saturday night just before seven O'clock.

Martine was flown to an Oklahoma city hospital, and placed on life support, as officers spent several hours re-constructing the accident near 88th and West Cache Road at the entrance of the Saint James Apartments.

Police allege Martine was rear-ended after a driver failed to yield as he slowed and attempted to turn in front of the apartments.

Friends of Martine said he attended Cache High School and that a facebook page would be created in his memory.

Sunday, police said the accident remained under investigation.
