Texas Rangers investigate fatal shooting in Pampa

Pampa, TX - The Department of Public Safety has released initial information to the media.

Wednesday (11/29), the Pampa Police Department responded to a 911 call to a domestic disturbance in the 2100 block of Hobart Street.

According to the DPS report, 45 year-old David Scott pointed a handgun at the officers, who then shot and killed him.

Scott was pronounced dead on scene, and the Texas Rangers are investigating.

Pampa, TX - The Texas Rangers are investigating a fatal shooting in Pampa.

Most of the details have not yet been released pending the investigation, but this is what we learned on scene.

The incident reportedly happened around 4:30 Wednesday (11/28) afternoon in front of the Subway ad Army recruiting office near 22nd and Hobart.

While on scene, we saw officials remove one body with apparent gunshot wounds.

Pampa Police told us over the phone that it was an officer-involved shooting.

Officers on scene told us all further information would come from the Department of Public Safety, and that the investigation is now in the hand of the Texas Rangers and the DPS.
