Tipton wins first title in 15 years, 30-12

WEATHERFORD, Okla. (AP) - Josh Torres ran for 120 yards and a pair of second-half touchdowns, and Tipton's defense clamped down after halftime in a 30-12 victory Saturday in the Class C championship game.

The Lawton Constitution (http://bit.ly/Uid13p ) reports that the Tigers allowed only 28 yards in the second half while holding Forgan (12-1) scoreless. Tipton (13-0) posted 11 shutouts this season on its way to its third state championship, and the first in 15 years.

The Tigers went ahead to stay with 5:38 left in the third quarter, when Torres scored from 1 yard out and Bryant Flores ran in the 2-point conversion. Flores tacked on an 80-yard TD run and Torres a 39-yard touchdown run.

Dalton Lemieux and Trevin Lopez ran for touchdowns for Forgan.
