Amarillo, TX - A Randall County Jail inmate is dead after he apparently hanged himself in his cell Saturday night just before 9:00.

Officials say they found 19-year-old Brandon Lee Bellinghausen of Amarillo unconscious in his cell, after hanging himself.

Officers and medical personnel performed CPR on the inmate but were unable to revive him. He had been an inmate in the jail since September 7 of this year on an enhanced charge of Evading Arrest or Detention.

An autopsy has been ordered for Bellinghausen.
