Lawton woman arrested for trying to smuggle drugs into prison

LAWTON Okla_ A Lawton woman is in the Comanche County Detention Center this afternoon, accused of bringing drugs into the local prison.

33-year-old Ganvina Atonette Smith is charged with taking Marijuana and PCP into the GEO Correctional Facility. Court records show Smith brought them into the prison on Sunday.

They say she was nabbed when corrections officers saw the drugs fall out of her jacket sleeve.

If guilty, Smith faces 1-5 years in prison and/or a fine of up to $1,000.
