Lawton, Okla._Cameron University hosted its Annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony Tuesday night.

A crowd came out to ring in the season and celebrate with some holiday festivities.

Cameron University President Cindy Ross says the event is all about bringing people together.

"We have students from all over the world who've made Cameron University their university of choice. It's a wonderful opportunity for our faculty, staff and students to get together, but also the Lawton Fort Sill community," President Ross said.

In addition to the tree lighting, the school treated visitors to horse-drawn carriage rides around the Bentley Gardens, as well as edible gingerbread decorations, and holiday music.
