Lawton, OK_Lawton Police confirmed Thursday that the stabbing death of a GEO inmate back in June was linked to a Mexican gang. However, officials said it was not a gang-on-gang incident.
You may remember, three inmates were charged with first-degree murder for Sonny Limpy's death: Jose Luis Garcia, Ryan Ray Garcia and Armando Luna. According to reports, the men were part of a group of five that used a makeshift knife to stab 25-year-old Limpy several times during a fight at the facility.
Police say the gang gave several reasons for why they assaulted and eventually killed Limpy, but police did not want to release that information yet.
