Armed robbers sentenced

Posted: Updated:

Duncan, Okla._Three men convicted in connection with a pair of home invasions in Tillman and Stephens counties have been sentenced to 45 years in prison.

Back in April, Christopher Scruggs, Leon Edwards and Douglas Brown forced their way into a home near Marlow at gunpoint after the homeowner answered a knock at the door. Then, they ransacked the house and stole several things.

Two nights later, they did the same thing at an elderly couple's home, tied them up, along with their young granddaughter, stole some items, then left.

All three men submitted a blind plea to the judge in October on charges of armed robbery.
