Local students raised funds for the Red Cross

Posted: Updated:

Cache, Okla._Little coins added up to some big bucks for some Cache students.

They held a "Change Drive"-- a drive that gathered up coins -- but Monday, those coins added up.

The students were able to give a check to the Red Cross for almost $1300 -- money will go to help victims of Superstorm Sandy. Daniel Farrell of the Red Cross was thankful for the donation.

"Cache Schools has done an amazing feat, in that they raised $1,275 for the American Red Cross. That money will help tremendously," Farrell said.

Students say they feel good that they were able to do something small that will help in a big way.
