UPDATE: Guilty verdict in Altus rape trial

Altus, Okla._A verdict has been reached in the case of an Altus man accused of raping and robbing a woman back in March. Jackson County jurors found 22-year-old Dewight Jasper guilty of several counts including kidnapping, rape and robbery.

Police arrested Jasper and a 15-year-old male juvenile in March. The pair confessed to the crimes then.

The victim told police the suspects lured her to a vacant residence on Blain Street and forced her inside. That's when she said the juvenile held her down while Jasper sexually assaulted her. Then, the two males robbed her.

Jasper's sentencing is set for January 8th.
