Ada woman dead after being hit by numerous cars

Posted: Updated:

FRANCIS, Okla. (AP) _ The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says an 83-year-old Ada woman was killed when she was struck by numerous vehicles on a Pontotoc County road.

Troopers say a passerby found the body of Dorothy Bailey on the roadway about two miles east of Francis. Investigators say it appears Bailey was killed Thursday and that she was struck by several vehicles that all left the scene.

The OHP says the body has been sent to the state medical examiner's office in Oklahoma City to determine the cause of death and that investigators are looking into the medical history of Bailey.
