Charity scams on rise in name of Sandy Hook victims

OKLAHOMA CITY Okla_ Connecticut's tragedy has
brought out the worst in some people.
Oklahoma's Attorney General
said charity scams are on the rise in the state, after officials in Connecticut received
complaints about criminals setting up fake charities in the names of some of
the dead children.
If you want to
help, be sure to donate to organizations with proven track records. Watch out
for impersonators with similar sounding names of well-known organizations. Also,
never give personal or financial information over the phone or via email to
groups asking for contributions.
The AG's office
