Christmas Eve Services

Lawton, Okla_Worshippers gathered in churches all over southwest Oklahoma Monday night for Christmas Eve services.  This one at Lawton's First Assembly of God featured traditional carols and candlelight and a chance to reflect on the message of Christmas.

"It really is all about the birth of Christ.  It's so easy to get lost in the world and everything else that's going on.  And we really need to be reminded once in awhile that this is what Christmas is really all about.  This is our gift to the community, and it's such a joy to meet people we've never met before that come here," said LFA Associate Pastor Gary Pratt.

Pratt said this year the church held four Christmas Eve services, starting with two Sunday morning, and two more Monday.  He said the services drew a total of more than 2,000 worshippers.
