Wisconsin woman killed in Texoma blizzard car crash

Posted: Updated:

Cotton County- Oklahoma Highway Patrol is reporting a deadly three vehicle crash in Texoma. Troopers say speeding and slick roads during the winter storm are to blame.

They say a car full of Milwaukee, Wisconsin residents was traveling north on I-44 a little before 6 p.m. Christmas night when a pickup heading south lost control on ice and crossed the center median at mile marker eight in Cotton County. OHP says the pickup hit the car head on. A 76-year-old passenger in the car, Grace Hanson, died on the way to hospital from injuries she received.

The pickup also hit another car. Everyone else involved was admitted in fair condition or treated and released.
