AMARILLO, TX - Police say an armed man got away with cash from a Bank of America in Amarillo Wednesday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the bank at 3601 South Washington, off I27, just after 10 a.m.

A bank teller told police the suspect handed the teller a note demanding money.

Witnesses say they saw the handle of a pistol in the front pocket of the suspect's jeans.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 30-40 years old, 5"10' wearing a Black Carhart jacket, blue jeans, and brown work boots.

The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, and left in a light blue vehicle, possibly a Buick or Oldsmobile. The vehicle had an Oklahoma license plate.
